Sound Off: Do You Want to See Pixar Make Marvel Movies?

Being a Pixar fanboy myself, I keep getting into discussions today about Pixar's involvement in the big Disney-Marvel acquisition. Not only is the relationship between Disney and Pixar being referenced as an example of the kind of relationship that Marvel has with the Mouse House (as in, they still remain in creative control over their own company). But, of course, everyone is bringing up the possibility of seeing Pixar make Marvel movies. In fact, John Lasseter, who now works specifically at Disney (and not Pixar) supposedly met with Marvel last week and was jumping up and down and got "pretty excited, pretty fast."

First Look: Amanda Seyfried in Atom Egoyan's Drama 'Chloe'

The NY Times has yet another first look at an upcoming Toronto Film Festival film with a few new photos. Chloe is the latest film from director Atom Egoyan and is his "most emotionally direct and accessible work" since the The Sweet Hereafter. It stars Amanda Seyfried as Chloe, an escort that Catherine (Julianne Moore) hires to seduce her husband (Liam Neeson) and test his loyalty. As described by TIFF, it's a "highly entertaining, mind-bending tale of sexual jealousy in which appearances belie the truth â€" perhaps." And based on these photos and that synopsis, it's a film I'm already planning to see at the fest in a few weeks.

Worth Watching: Visual Effects: 100 Years of Inspiration

I don't know a good way to introduce this. It's one of those great videos that you just need to watch simply based on the title alone. It's called Visual Effects: 100 Years of Inspiration - a "5th-grader-friendly" collection of clips and making-of footage from notable visual effects films of the past century. YouTube user bengraphics says it was "originally intended for educational use as an introduction to a classroom lecture." It's pretty damn awesome to see and will definitely be nostalgic for anyone that loves great visual effects. I first found it on Awards Daily but apparently it also came from Cinematical before that. Watch this now!

Guillermo del Toro Developing Adaption of DC's Deadman

Yet another new comic book adaptation in the works (not a surprise). Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that Guillermo del Toro is developing and producing an adaptation of the DC Comics character Deadman. Warner Brothers has apparently set Danish filmmaker Nikolaj Arcel, of Island of Lost Souls previously, to direct the Deadman movie. Not much else is known, except that it's being described as a Crow-esque thriller about a circus tightrope walker who is murdered and returns as a ghost with the ability to inhabit the bodies if others in order to find his killer. Thankfully this sounds like it'll be better than The Invisible.

Deadman first appeared in Strange Adventures #205 (in October 1967) and was created by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino. This is admittedly the first time I've even heard of this character, but he sounds like he has an intriguing story that could make for a great movie. Of ...

Green Hornet Pushed Back 5 Months

Seth Rogen's movie based on the pulp and television hero The Green Hornet has been moved from its original date of July 7, 2010 to its new date of December 17, 2010 according to Box Office Mojo . No reason for the move was given but one can presumes it's to give the movie more time for post-production--principal photography hasn't begun yet--and to get it away from Robert Rodriguez's Predators relaunch. (Currently, Sony had set that date for the 3D Smurfs movie,which one assumes will be moved itself, since currently, it's up against Warner Bros' animated Yogi Bear movie.)

Hi-Res Twilight: New Moon Volturi Character Posters

Yesterday, Summit Entertainment distributed five character posters of the Volturi in The Twilight Saga: New Moon to various sites, plus three new images. The studio has now provided us with the entire batch which you can check out below. You can click on them for bigger versions! The character posters consist of Michael Sheen as Aro, Dakota Fanning as Jane, Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus, Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius, and Cameron Bright as Alec.

"New Moon," based on the second installment of Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" series, is directed by Chris Weitz from a script by Melissa Rosenberg.

Must Buy: Badass Movie Shirts from Wake Up Time To Die

I'm a collector/connoisseur of great t-shirts, from movies to comics, or anything awesome. Whenever I'm at Comic-Con, I always pick up some shirts from Stylin' Online or Graffiti Designs.
