Chris Pine Might Be the Next Jack Ryan for Franchise Reboot

After Chris Pine's breakthrough performance in this summer's Star Trek, the young actor has become quite the hot commodity. It looks like Paramount is the studio who will be keeping Pine busy as he's already locked in for Tony Scott's runaway train action-thriller Unstoppable (which is actually at Fox) and was also just added to D.J. Caruso's next project The Art of Making Money, a new Paramount project. Now we can add one more to the list as Variety reports that Pine is in serious negotiations to step into the role of CIA analyst Jack Ryan, in a reboot of the franchise based on Tom Clancy's series of political-thriller novels.
