Ross is already writing Spider-Man 4 for the studio.
The site says that the studio had no comment on Ross writing the project and whether Topher Grace would reprise the role from the third film.
Avi Arad and Marvel are producing the movie.

Gary Ross to Write and Possibly Direct Venom

Heat Vision is reporting that Gary Ross will write the script for Venom , Columbia Pictures' "Spider-Man" spin-off, and may direct as well!
